Wilmot Creek Conservation Area

Last weekend was Victoria Day for us Canadians and that means Monday was a holiday. The weather was perfect and my wife and I made the most of it. We hopped on the Harley-Davidson and took a ride out to Wilmot Creek Conservation area. By mid-afternoon, the sun was out in full force and I still have the sunburn to prove it.

Normally one can expect to see many species of birds, however, they were all taking a reprieve from the hot sun. You could hear them singing from the trees, but few were out in the open. So much for wildlife shots. Fortunately, there was a couple who took no less than five dogs out to play in Lake Ontario and they were the main attraction. I enjoyed watching the dogs frolicking in the water – they put on a good show.
