We had a bit of family outing to look for seals. My wife discovered a spot near Stratford, PEI where seals normally congregate. Lucky for us they were out in full force on a sandbar. Unfortunately the lighting was terrible. It was all back lighting reflecting off the water. It took a bit of work to bring out the seals from images in which the shadows were all crushed.

Next time we visit this cove, it will be at sunset. It is said the seals are out in greater numbers and they will be facing the setting sun.
