With the cold weather now in full effect, I am no longer riding my motorcycle to explore PEI. Instead, I’m travelling by Jeep and one perk to driving on 4 wheels is I can take a larger camera kit and a sturdy tripod. This opens up possibilities for sunset photography and longer exposure times.
Only recently did I lean of Canoe Cove Beach which is located in Lloyd Inman Memorial Park – about 20 minutes from home. Canoe cove was the place where Mi’kmaq (PEI First Nations people) brought British solders ashore by canoe, hence the name. When I arrived, there were no canoes or people in sight, I had the beach all to myself. I took photos until the sun slipped below the horizon and the moon was up.
